Microview
When to Use MicroView

You can use MicroView to manage these facilities activities:

Space ManagementMicroView for "Space Management"

Are you concerned about the ability of your facilities staff to accurately report on the characteristics of your space and the various assets in the space? A critical component of any organization's corporate records is space and organizational data. This ever-changing data poses a challenge to most organizations to keep accurate. MicroView is a invaluable tool for collecting, maintaining, and auditing space information. Create an occupancy plan by collecting room and employee information on PDAs, or download this data from ARCHIBUS/FM to the PDA for audit purposes or as an aide for corporate moves. Use MicroView as a critical tool in emergency situations. Dispatch emergency responders on-site with PDAs to perform reconnaissance tasks.

Asset ManagementMicroView for "Asset Lifecycle Management"

Do you spend a lot of time conducting inventory and inspections, yet are still not able to confidently report on the location, condition and status of your assets? A MicroView enabled PDA can be used to collect large quantities of asset data, perform disposition surveys, or manage asset maintenance operations. Asset inventories can be collected in about half the time it takes using traditional inventory methods. MicroView can be easily customized to suit your organization's business model. MicroView PDAs can be deployed in a number of environments including at the shipping and receiving dock. Track your assets as soon as they arrive in your organization. Asset receiving data can be shared with your company's procurement system to close the supply chain loop.

Maintenance ManagementMicroView for "Work Order Management"

Do you depend on paper-based processes to assign work orders and track their completion? With MicroView, your maintenance personnel can receive and input work order requests directly from their mobile handheld device. Maintenance personnel can open and close service requests, respond to emergencies and manage critical buildings systems using daily planned maintenance tasks and demand maintenance requests dispatched to their handheld computer (PDA). At the beginning or any time during a shift, maintenance personnel can retrieve new work or upload completed work from their PDAs. Field staff can record time and materials used on repairs and maintenance activities and upload it as part of the service work cycle. Time keeping data can be used to report on equipment histories, workforce performance and budget analysis.

InspectionsMicroView for "Conditions Assessments"

Do you depend on paper-based processes to capture and track condition assessment data? With MicroView, you can start taking advantage of the Condition Assessment applications. MicroView can help your company avoid risk. You can easily create inspection or survey questionnaires, then broadcast them to selected PDA units, and data can be synchronized with the database. Employees complete the inspections in the field and synchronize with the database for capital planning and deferred maintenance purposes. Also, safety and security staff can perform life safety surveys or complete routine patrol checklists to support regulatory compliance and security investigations. Supervisors can retrieve accurate employee locations or review localized asset inventories during emergency situations. Dispatch a security survey to all employee PDAs quickly and easily. Employees can update statistics or alert management with convenience.

Parts Inventory ManagementMicroView for "Parts Inventory Management"

Often overlooked, parts inventory management is a crucial component of maintenance operations. MicroView FM provides an alternative to paper- based tracking and manual inventorying methods. Field users can use scan-ready PDAs to rapidly & accurately inventory parts anywhere in the organization. Parts data is rolled up to a master dynamic parts list, which can be integrated with your company's procurement system to trigger automatic parts re-order. And, maintenance staff can use this tool to automatically record parts usage against any service request or work order to keep the parts inventory accurate and help control costs.

Microview Modules

MicroView also comes in three other modules:

MicroView HVAC and Electrical Modules

The MicroView HVAC and Electrical Modules for ARCHIBUS/FM enable you to create an electronic inventory of the critical systems in your facility.

You can easily maintain and retrieve information about all electrical components: electrical panels, circuits, lighting, receptacles, and control systems. You define component standards with key information such as power requirements, heat load, and vendor information. Circuit and panel loads, component counts and listings by building floor and room can be calculated from the built-in reporting system. Overloaded circuits and other potential problems can be prevented during the design stage.

The software can summarize HVAC zone cooling requirements by automatically taking into account the total heat load of people, equipment and lighting. It can show counts of HVAC equipment sorted by the HVAC zone, floor, building and type. You can create intelligent floor plans and reports to serve as a reference for routine maintenance purposes, or for emergency situations. These reports are also designed to satisfy documentation requirements of an Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) monitoring plan, by tracking employees by HVAC zone.

MicroView Parking Manager

Meridex introduces a new MicroView solution for companies and organizations who manage parking operations. This new technology enables you to manage parking pass assignments, renewals, cancellations, violations & ticketing, parking lot capacities, and waiting lists. Optional tools for MicroView handheld computers (PDAs) let you patrol parking lots and record and issue parking violations on the spot.

Parking Manager works within the ARCHIBUS/FM™ environment as an integrated module.

Benefits:

  • Manage your parking operations effectively with Meridex's automated tools. This new desktop application works inside ARCHIBUS/FM. Users can issue new parking passes, manage lot capacities, and track pass history among other functions. The system also issues automatic renewal and pass pick-up e-mail notices so you don’t have to.
  • Utilize the existing data stored in your ARCHIBUS/FM database or extend the reach of the system to your company’s HR system. Accurate HR data is used to ensure passes are held by valid employees or individuals.
  • Save time and money by printing your own parking pass documents. Avoid the high cost of pre-printed forms and parking passes by printing receipts and barcode stickers with your laser/inkjet printer.
  • Ensure ongoing parking revenues by deploying PDAs in the field to monitor parking lots. Violators can be ticketed on the spot with the optional PDA tools.

MicroView Delivery Manager™

Often packages and mail can go missing before they are delivered to their intended recipient. Help reduce the number of lost or misplaced deliverables and the associated cost by using MicroView Delivery Manager™ from Meridex.

Built for use with ARCHIBUS/FM™, this new application utilizes your existing space inventory and personnel data. Powerful features such as electronic signature & automated delivery date/ time capture expedite the flow of letters, packages, and assets within your organization.

Benefits:

  • Packages, letters, or assets coming into your company can be scanned and routed for delivery. Delivery manifests are generated by route and dispatched to a delivery person’s PDA.
  • At the point of delivery, personnel scan packages to be delivered, verifying the recipient, and gather an electronic signature. Undelivered packages are flagged and comments or notes can be captured on the spot.
  • While in-route, delivery personnel can pick up packages for internal or outbound distribution. Packages can be delivered within the current route or reprocessed for later delivery on another route. If a package is destined to go out of the building it can be processed in the field and taken back to the delivery dock for courier pickup.
